Why Are We The Elite?
We Are Licensed and Insured
All of our locations are licensed and insured for your protection. We take the invitation to your home very seriously and so should you when you choose someone to come and perform a service at your home.
We Properly Sanitize
What does that mean? It means that we properly clean our equipment and shoes between each job that we do. Contagious viruses such as parvovirus can be spread from house to house if tools are not properly cleaned. This is also a good reason to think twice about hiring the kid down the street to clean your yard.
Notifications and Automation
We keep you informed every step of the way. You will get text message reminders on the day of service and another one about 10-20 minutes before we arrive. We also have a client hub with hassle free, automated online billing so you don't have to think about it.
High Visibility
We wear bright orange for a reason. We want you to know exactly who is at your property and what they are there for. No one likes to wonder who that person is walking around their yard.

We are Nolan and Laura Henderson and are excited to bring Poo Squad to Lawrence. Poo Squad takes great pride in helping to maintain a clean outdoor space for our customers, one that is poo free and can be enjoyed by all members of the family.
Our customers often say that they appreciate the peace of mind Poo Squad provides. It’s the peace of mind knowing you will have fewer arguments about who will pick up after the dog this week, a home free of poo prints, and a clean outdoor space for family fun.
We would love to bring this peace of mind to you and your family. To share a little about our squad, we reside in Lawrence with our two children, Ella and Grit, our dog, Memphis, and cat, Gracie.
Back in 2017, before becoming Poo Squad owners, we were both teaching in Lawrence Public Schools when we received the earth-shattering news that our 2-month baby boy had cancer.
I often think back to a conversation we had before Grit was born, when we were discussing baby names. I made the comment that if we were to choose Grit, that he would have to do something great to live up to that name. Never did we think it would be fighting and WINNING a battle with cancer. Now on the other side of Grit's cancer journey, our focus has shifted to thriving. We hope that in growing Poo Squad we can also use this as an opportunity to give back for all that we received from our family, friends, fellow teachers, and students as well as cancer organizations and complete strangers. With giving back in mind, we started the #TeamGrit Foundation which provides post-secondary scholarships to pediatric cancer survivors.
We awarded our first scholarships to two graduating seniors from the Class of 2023, one from Free State and one from Lawrence High School. Time and time again we hear people who battled cancer as a child have grown up to work in the medical field because they wish to make a difference. Who knows, maybe a survivor we sponsor will find the cure! That is our greatest hope.
We wish to leave you with our family's definition of grit [gr-it] noun: possessing an unshakeable spirit with the courage, endurance, passion, and perseverance to keep going despite obstacles or odds.
